Born in 1971, Kristine Lilly is the most capped player in FIFA Women's World Cup™ history, having played in 30 matches for USA across five competitions, including China PR 1991 and USA 1999 when the Stars and Stripes were crowned world champions.
Lilly, who represented the Stars and Stripes across four different decades (1980s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s) played in six matches in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007. The American midfielder retired in 2010 after earning an impressive 352 international caps. Lilly scored 130 goals for USA throughout her illustrious career.
