The average number of goals per game in the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ has dropped from 3.8 for the first three tournaments to 3.4 for 2003 and 2007.
In the most recent edition of the competition in 2011, that average reached its lowest-ever level of 2.7 goals per game, which reflects the steady development of the women’s game.
With Canada 2015 the first Women's World Cup to feature 24 teams - 16 teams competed at Germany 2011 - do you think the average number of goals per game will increase or decrease from four years ago?
