Rostov beat Ural, Dinamo edge Kuban

Rostov battled back from a goal down to beat Ural Yekaterinburg 2-1 on Saturday to narrow the gap to Russian Premier league leaders CSKA Moscow to six points.
Rostov, who have won their last four league matches, are second in the table although CSKA can restore their nine-point advantage when they meet struggling FC Krasnodar on Sunday. Lokomotiv Moscow, who take on defending champions Zenit St. Petersburg also Sunday, sit third, nine points off the top.
"I'm pleased with my team's disciplined performance," Rostov manager Kurban Berdyev said. "My players showed great desire to win and that makes me really happy."
Armenia international forward Edgar Manucharyan put Ural 1-0 up in the sixth minute beating Rostov goalkeeper Soslan Dzhanaev with a powerful long-range shot. Dmitry Poloz pulled Rostov level eight minutes later when he received a pinpoint pass by Guelor Kanga and sent the ball home from just inside the area. Rostov grabbed the winner five minutes from time when Ural full back Vladimir Khozin put through his own goal as he attempted to clear a pass.
Fifth-placed Spartak Moscow suffered a 2-1 defeat at Terek Grozny. Spartak got off to a great start when their Dutch midfielder Quincy Promes scored with a powerful free-kick which took a deflection off Terek defender Andrei Semenov. Brazilian midfielder Adilson Warken levelled just 15 minutes later, beating the visiting side's goalkeeper Artem Rebrov with a 25-yard screamer.
Senegalese striker Ablaye M'Bengue had the local fans on their feet when he scored Terek's winner with a spectacular overhead kick from the edge of the area with nine minutes to go.
Dinamo Moscow came from behind to edge Kuban Krasnodar 2-1 thanks to late second half goals from Alexsey Kozlov and Roman Zobnin.
