Following the recent call from the FIFA President for wealthier member associations to support less-privileged countries, the President of the Norwegian FA has already responded positively to the proposal.
“I very much appreciate the initiative of the President of the Norwegian Football Association following my call for greater solidarity at the UEFA Congress. It is a strong, timely and important signal that he is sending. On behalf of FIFA and the smaller, less-privileged, member associations I am very grateful for this quick and positive response. I hope more will follow his example,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
