Derby reject two bids from Bournemouth for Johnny Russell
Sky sources understand Derby have rejected two bids from Bournemouth for striker Johnny Russell.
Bournemouth are in the market for striking reinforcements before the close of the transfer window and are thought to have made Russell their top target.
Russell joined Derby from Dundee United last summer and impressed in his debut campaign at the I-pro Stadium as Derby reached the Championship play-off final.
The 24-year-old scored nine goals last term despite missing several weeks of the season with a leg fracture and a broken cheekbone.
Derby do not want to lose Russell as he is a key member of Steve McClaren's side and it remains to be seen if Bournemouth will come back with a third offer for the Scotland international before Monday's transfer deadline.
