Johnson: No Kenny move
Oldham are not on the verge of signing goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, according to manager Lee Johnson.
The 36-year-old shot-stopper is a free agent after being released by Championship side Leeds this summer. And while Johnson is a fan of the former Sheffield United and QPR player, his priorities lie elsewhere.
"There is no truth in it," he said at his Thursday morning press conference.
"Paddy Kenny's a fantastic goalkeeper. Of course he's had his ups and downs.
"He's available, he's on the market and there will be a number of clubs interested in him. Do we turn down the opportunity to talk to any good player? Of course not. But you have to weigh up and assess your squad what is a priority and, at the moment, a goalkeeper for us is not a priority."
