Accrington v Plymouth preview

Accrington v Plymouth preview

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Accrington Stanley and Plymouth Argyle at the Store First Stadium.

Aaron Chapman will likely be Accrington's goalkeeper for manager John Coleman's homecoming against Plymouth.

Chapman was signed on loan by Stanley this week from Chesterfield as fellow stopper Joe Lumley returned to QPR following his short stint in east Lancashire.

After an incredible 5-4 victory in his first match back at the helm, the popular Coleman will be in charge of an Accrington side at the Store First Stadium for the first time since 2012.

He will still be without James Gray, though, as the five-goal striker sits out the second game of his three-match ban.

Plymouth will involve new signing Bobby Reid in the squad when they make the long trip north.

The Bristol City midfielder arrived at Home Park on a month-long loan on Thursday and he will bolster John Sheridan's options after a string of injuries.

Winger Jason Banton has an abductor muscle injury and will be out for up to a month while Deane Smalley jarred his back and looks set to miss out again having sat out Saturday's win over Hartlepool.

But top-scorer Reuben Reid, withdrawn at half time against Pools with a hip injury, has responded well to treatment and could feature while Peter Hartley has an outside chance despite picking up a thigh strain.
