Adryan needed no persuading in joining Leeds United on loan
New Leeds United signing Adryan says he needed no persuading to join the club on a season-long loan deal from Flamengo.
Adryan, who has represented Brazil at Under-20 level, could move to Elland Road on a permanent basis for a reported £3million, should Leeds decide to take up the option in his contract.
The 20-year-old made his first appearance in a White shirt during their Development Squad’s 3-2 defeat to Ipswich and he could make his first-team debut during the televised clash at Birmingham this weekend.
Adryan was one of 15 new recruits at the Championship club this summer and is now looking forward to getting started having received international clearance.
"We are working so hard this week to play well against Birmingham," he told the club’s official website.
"I like English football. When I was a child I saw many times the Championship and the Premier League.
"I didn’t have to think for one second (to join Leeds). I’m so happy with coming here but I need to work and play."
Neil Redfearn, who remains in temporary charge of Leeds, was impressed by Adryan’s showing for the Development Squad.
Redfearn said: "He did alright on Monday. He showed little glimpses of magic and his ability.
"He also showed a turn of pace when he tried to leave people. As an introduction I felt that it was good for him to play with our young pros.
"He is a tremendous young talent and he is a great signing for the club."
