Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert believes Jack Grealish should stay

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert believes Jack Grealish is in the best place to develop as a player and should snub a move to a bigger club should they come in for him.

Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on the talented 19-year-old, despite the fact he has only made four appearances for the Midlands outfit.

Being fully aware of the talent Grealish possesses, Lambert is adamant a move to the likes of the Stamford Bridge side will hinder the midfielder's chances of first-team football, and feels he should stay and earn a regular spot with the Villans.

"This is the best place to be because he's getting the chance to get round and about our first team," Lambert told reporters.

"He's not near the finished article, but he's developing, which is great.

"He's playing little bits here and there but he's still far from being an established player."
