Cardiff City v Sheffield Wednesday team news
Cardiff could hand a debut to Ravel Morrison, regardless of who is in the dugout against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Bluebirds are close to making former Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade their new manager but if the appointment is not rubber-stamped in time then Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young will take charge for their third successive match.
And they look likely to include West Ham loanee Morrison, although his lack of first-team football means the former Manchester United man may have to start on the bench.
But the likes of David Marshall, Craig Noone, Peter Whittingham and Kenwyne Jones are all likely to return to the line-up along with French centre-back Bruno Ecuele Manga.
Wednesday will be without suspended defender Kamil Zayatte following his straight red card in the midweek defeat at Manchester City, where the Owls were routed 7-0.
Zayatte received a straight red card for his foul on Frank Lampard and starts a three-game ban, but skipper Glenn Loovens, rested on Wednesday night, should return.
Boss Stuart Gray made three other changes for the midweek cup tie and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, midfielder Jose Semedo and striker Atdhe Nuhiu are all expected to return to the starting line-up.
Gray has no new injury worries as his side bid to extend their unbeaten league run to four matches.
