Hyam hopes to keep Town place
Luke Hyam will be hoping to keep his place in the Ipswich first XI for the Championship clash with Rotherham after scoring in Monday's win at Wigan on his return.
"Luke Hyam was excellent and showed what a good professional he is," manager Mick McCarthy told the club website. "He has been out of the side for the last couple of games and not happy about it but he responded in the right way and I expected him to because he's a good pro."
Cameron Stewart has yet to feature since joining Town this summer due to suffering a broken jaw in pre-season and a knee injury in a recent Under-21s game, while Stephen Hunt is still to appear this term due to a calf problem.
However, Darren Ambrose did manage to come on for the last 20 minutes at DW Stadium for the first appearance of his third spell with the club after getting back up to full fitness.
Rotherham will be without suspended defender Craig Morgan, while on-loan Ipswich pair Anthony Wordsworth and Paul Taylor are unavailable against their parent club.
Morgan received his fifth yellow card of the season in last week's home draw against Charlton and sits out a one-game ban, so Kirk Broadfoot is expected to return to the side.
Midfield pair Lee Frecklington and Ben Pringle are hoping for recalls to the starting line-up in place of Wordsworth and Taylor.
Defender Richard Wood (knee), plus midfielders Conor Newton (hernia), Rob Milsom (ankle) and Mark Bradley (knee) all remain sidelined.
