Celtic manager Ronny Deila targets win against Dinamo Zagreb

Celtic manager Ronny Deila is convinced 10 points will be enough to see his side through to the last 32 of the Europa League.

The Scottish champions began their Europa League campaign with a 2-2 draw in Salzburg and entertain Dinamo Zagreb at Celtic Park on Thursday night.

Deila believes his Hoops are capable of winning a domestic treble this season and thinks a good run in Europe will benefit them in domestic competition.

"The target is to get through and to do that we need 10 points," said Deila. “Home games are very important and if we win the home games we will have 10 points. So that is the target for us.

"The goal in Scotland is to win everything. That hasn't been done in many years so we know it is a big target but I love big targets so that is what we go for.

"The League, the League Cup and (Scottish) FA Cup, we want to win them all and we can win them all. But I don't say we are going to win the Europa League.

"Everything is possible but to win the Europa League would be an unbelievable achievement. To go through (to the knockout stage) is something we want to do and it will test us.

"The Europa League is very important because you need experience. The team has a lot of knowledge about Scotland and we win things.

"Now it is very good for us to play against teams in the Europa League who are better than the teams in Scotland and that makes us better.

"If we win against Zagreb we will have had a very good start in the Europa League and that is important to us."

Celtic will have to make do without striker John Guidetti, who was not registered in time to play in the group stages of the competition.

But Deila played down the absence of the on-loan Manchester City striker who scored twice in the 2-1 Premiership win over St Mirren at the weekend.

Deila said: "Of course we want to have every player available but we knew when we signed him that he couldn't play in Europe so we won't use any energy on that.

"We have a big squad so we will have a good team tomorrow. We have a lot of strikers and they will get a chance so that is a positive. We have goalscorers here.
