James Pallotta appeals for peace following Juventus' heated clash with Roma
Roma president James Pallotta has appealed to Juventus, his own club and the media to calm down following Sunday's heated encounter in Turin.
The Giallorossi lost 3-2 to concede their first defeat of the season.
Players and club executives have engaged in a war of words since the end of the match at the Juventus stadium.
Pallotta issued a statement on Roma's official website, which read: "Everyone should take a deep breath and calm down.
"Football is a very fast game and sometimes there are controversies and mistakes.
"It happens both ways.
"At the end of the day we are both great teams and look forward to a long rivalry.
"It's good for Italian football.
"Proud of our team forever.
"Love our spirit. And Roma will be back and there for a long time.
"Get used to it. Forza Roma!"
The outcome ended Roma's five-match winning run in Serie A and dropped them to second place, three points adrift of league leaders Juve after six games played.
Roma finished runners-up to Juve last season.
