FC Barcelona find out who they'll play next in the Champions League on December 15 in the draw to be held in Nyon (Switzerland) at 12.00 PM CET

They have finished top of their group for the eighth time in a row

Juventus, Basel, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, Manchester City, Schalke 04 and Shakhtar Donetsk. Of these seven teams, all runners-up in their groups, one will be drawn as FC Barcelona’s opponents in the Champions League lround of 16 to be played from February 17. All will be revealed on Monday December 15 in a draw in Nyon (Switzerland) from 12.00 PM CET.

Six of those are sides that Barça already played in recent editions of the competition. Juventus last met the Blaugrana in 2002/03, the only side that has not visited the Camp Nou in the last decade. The Italians, along with Arsenal and Manchester City, would appear to be the most dangerous opponents that Barça could meet, but in whatever case, the Catalans have the advantage of playing the second leg at home.

Following tradition

FC Barcelona have topped their first round group for the eighth consecutive time. The last time they failed to do so was the 2006/07 season, when they finished second to Chelsea. Since then, there has only been one occasion when they have matched the 15 points they got this year (the 16 in the 2011/12 season).
