San Lorenzo edge second, Boca denied

San Lorenzo moved up to second in the Primera Division standings with a 1-0 win at Nueva Chicago on Monday.

Mauro Matos scored the only goal in the 50th minute to move San Lorenzo a point behind Rosario Central and a point ahead of Boca Juniors who drew 1-1 at San Martin San Juan.

Pablo Osvaldo put Boca ahead from the penalty spot after 10 minutes but Marcos Figuerroa equalised after 66 minutes and both sides were reduced to 10 men late on as Agustin Orion and Marcos Gelabert were both dismissed.

Victor Malcorra's goal seven minutes from time saw Union Santa Fe earn a 3-3 draw following a remarkable comeback from Aldosivi.

Enrique Triverio had Union ahead after just four minutes and Malcorra's first made it 2-0 seven minutes later.

But Gaston Diaz had Aldosivi back in it from the penalty spot three minutes before the break and Roger Martinez and Pablo Luguercio scored within three minutes of each other to turn the game on its head before Malcorra's late show.

In the day's other game, Temperley and Olimpo played out a goalless draw.
