Brighton v Bournemouth team news: David Stockdale should play

Brighton are hopeful goalkeeper David Stockdale will shake off a knock in time to face Sky Bet Championship leaders Bournemouth at the Amex on Friday.

Stockdale was hurt during Monday's 1-0 defeat at Rotherham but managed to finish the match and is expected to be fit.

Skipper Gordon Greer completes a two-match ban so Lewis Dunk will continue in the back four alongside Greg Halford.

Sam Baldock, Andrew Crofts (both knee), Kemy Agustien (thigh) and Solly March (calf) remain on the sidelines.

Bournemouth will wait on the fitness of Marc Pugh ahead of the televised trip.

Pugh has missed the Cherries' last two matches with an ankle injury and boss Eddie Howe will hope he can return to training and take his place back in the starting line-up with Ryan Fraser most likely to make way.

South African forward Tokelo Rantie will miss out for the third successive match with knee and ankle problems but Howe is hopeful he will be available for selection before the end of the season.

The Cherries know they can open up a gap at the top of the Championship table before Saturday's round of fixtures.
