San Lorenzo stay top, Rosario win late

Argentinian Primera Division leaders San Lorenzo won their seventh game from nine as they beat Independiente 1-0. Hector Villalba scored the only goal a minute before the break to keep San Lorenzo level with Rosario Central.

Rosario Central were 2-1 victors over San Martin San Juan thanks to a last minute strike from Alejandro Donatti. Franco Cervi put the hosts ahead in the 37th minute before Facundo Pumpido looked to have earned his side a point 12 minutes from time.

However Donatti popped up in added time to move his side to 21 points. Racing Club are five points further back after they beat Huracan 2-0 thanks to goals from Nicolas Sanchez and Nunez Techera.

Gimnasia La Plata hammered poor Aldosivi 4-1, netting three goals in four frantic minutes. Jose Sand netted an opener for the visitors before Ignacio Fernandez equalised in the 66th minute. Antonio Medina (68) and an own goal from Guillermo Ortiz (69) put them out of sight before Antonio Medina netted 12 minutes from time.

Elsewhere, Godoy Cruz and Velez Sarsfield played out a 2-2 draw. Mariano Pavone gave Velez the lead after 29 minutes before Leandro Fernandez (57) levelled for the hosts. Milton Caraglio put the away side ahead for a second time but Jaime Ayovi popped up with another with six minutes left.
