Rubi replaces Alcaraz at Levante

Former Barcelona backroom coach Rubi has been installed at the Levante reins until the end of the season.
"Levante and Rubi reached an agreement last night for the coach to take charge of Levante until the end of the season with the option for two more in the Primera Division," the club said in a statement on their website.
Rubi takes over from Lucas Alcaraz, who was sacked after a 4-0 defeat at home to David Moyes's Real Sociedad on Sunday left the Valencian outfit bottom of the table.
The 45-year-old has had success in taking Girona and Valladolid last season to the playoffs in the second division, but has no managerial experience in the top flight.
His time as part of the management team at Barcelona under Gerardo Martino lasted only one season in 2013/14 as the Catalans failed to win a major trophy.
