Cameroon named Alexandre Belinga as interim coach to replace sacked German Volker Finke just two weeks out from the start of the country's 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ qualifying campaign.
Finke had been in charge of the Indomitable Lions since May 2013 but had come in for widespread criticism after a series of poor results.
Tombi A Roko, the president of the Cameroon football federation (Fecafoot), said that fellow Cameroonian Bonaventure Djonkep would be Belinga's assistant.
Cameroon begin their World Cup qualifying campaign against Niger on 15 November.
