Prolific Guangzhou Evergrande striker Ricardo Goulart is an injury doubt for the AFC Champions League final, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed, in what could be a blow to the Chinese team's title hopes.
Brazil's Goulart, Evergrande's top scorer in the competition, suffered an ankle injury in the first leg against UAE's Al Ahli two weeks ago in Dubai.
"The preparation has gone well and all of our work went as planned. Right now we are still waiting to see about Goulart," Scolari told reporters in Guangzhou.
The former Brazil boss added that all eight Evergrande players involved in China PR's FIFA World Cup™ qualifier this week in Hong Kong were available for Saturday's second leg.
Evergrande will also welcome back South Korean defender Kim Young-Gwon, who is returning from a one-game suspension.
The Chinese champions are the favourites on Saturday in front of their home fans but Al Ahli need only a score draw to take the title after the 0-0 result in Dubai.
