The two sides will face off in the domestic Cup competition on 20 27 January
Athletic Club and FC Barcelona, which faced each other in the Final of last year's Copa del Rey, were paired off in the quarter-finals in this year's edition during Friday's draw.
The first leg will be on 20 January at San Mamés while the return leg is set for 27 January at Camp Nou. The semi-final draw will be two days later.
But before the Copa del Rey, the two sdes clash in La Liga this weekend, on Sunday at 8.30pm CET at Camp Nou. They also met twice in August in the Spanish Super Cup and once in the first half of the league season.
FC Barcelona and Athletic Club have long been the stars of the tournament and have met on 37 occasions, 14 times in two-game ties, eight times in the Final and one tie-breaker. Barça's record in those meetings is 20 wins, six draws and 11 losses.
