The Best FIFA Football Awards™ have got people talking, from the fans to expert observers. On this note, here at FIFA.com we have reached out to a number of well-known figures to canvass their views on the contenders for these illustrious accolades. We will be bringing you the thoughts of former Spain coach Vicente del Bosque on Monday, while the following day, Neil Aspin will be discussing his erstwhile protégé Jamie Vardy's rise to prominence, and on Wednesday, Nadine Kessler will be having her say on the women's nominees. Similarly, Wilson Perez will be lifting the lid on when Luis Suarez first caught his eye.
Likewise, FIFA.com will be wrapping up our run-through of the candidates for the Puskás Award ahead of Friday's announcement of the three finalists for the prestigious prize, which will be presented at the eagerly awaited ceremony on 9 January 2017. Also on Friday, Paulinho will be opening up about his triumphant return to the Brazil fold and his lofty ambitions with the five-time FIFA World Cup™ winners. The day before that, Florent Sinama Pongolle will be reminiscing on his exploits with France at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Trinidad and Tobago 2001.
It is poised to be an intriguing week in the world of women's football and not just because of the denouement over in Papua New Guinea: there are also a host of senior international friendlies in store involving the big powers.
