Bournemouth v Wigan team news

Bournemouth will make a late check on defender Steve Cook ahead of the visit of Wigan.

The centre-back complained of a tight groin at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night and was taken out of the squad that ran out 3-0 winners and the Cherries will leave it as late as possible before making a decision on Cook's fitness.

Eddie Howe shuffled his pack for the Capital One Cup win and a number of his players are set to earn recalls including Callum Wilson, Simon Francis and the cup-tied Andrew Surman.

Tokelo Rantie made his return to action as a late substitute in south Wales after injury and he looks set to be involved once more.

Wigan will check on both Callum McManaman and Emyr Huws as they bid to win on the road for the first time in eight games.

Latics' top scorer McManaman came off in Monday's loss to Ipswich with a dead leg and will be assessed on Friday morning before Uwe Rosler's men make the long trip south.

Meanwhile, midfielder Huws has a slight ankle problem which he picked up in Wales' win over Andorra on their controversial 3G pitch earlier this month.

Rosler suggested he will shake things up in a bid to get Wigan out of their slump in form, but neither Chris McCann (knee) or Ben Watson (broken leg) are quite ready to return.
