Goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu signs new three-year deal with PSG
Goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has signed a three-year contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 club has announced.
The 27-year-old, who joined PSG in 2011, will now remain at the Parc des Princes club until at least June 2018.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said on the club's official website: "We are very proud to extend the contract of Salvatore, an exceptional goalkeeper and a remarkable human being.
"He is a symbol of the Paris St Germain project: to build one of the most successful clubs in Europe."
Sirigu, who played for Serie A side Palermo before making the move to France, said: "I wanted to continue this incredible adventure, both on a sporting and on a human level, with Paris St Germain.
"I know we are only at the start of something exceptional. We are going to win a lot of titles together."
After a Ligue 1 trip to Rennes on Saturday, PSG begin their Champions League Group F challenge away to Ajax next Wednesday night.
