Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao confident after three goals for Colombia
Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has returned to the club full of confidence after netting three goals for Colombia.
With just four goals in 22 appearances for United, the 29-year-old has struggled to establish himself following a lucrative season-long loan deal from Monaco - and many expect manager Louis van Gaal to allow him to return to Ligue 1 in the summer.
But Falcao has been back among the goals at international level in the last week, scoring twice in a 6-0 win over Bahrain and adding another in Monday's 3-1 victory over Kuwait.
He told Sport 360: "I think when I score it's always important and that gives me confidence. I said before I need minutes, I need to play games in a row and here in the national team I have had the opportunity.
"I gave my best and I scored and I now return to Manchester with more confidence."
Asked what his targets are for the remainder of the season, Falcao added: "We have the last eight games. I will give my best to have the chance to play as many minutes as possible.
"I have said before I need to play. I need minutes and I am confident about me, about my fitness. I am confident.
"I have faith about that and when the season finishes I am going to sit and think about my future and what is the best for my career."
United paid £6m for a season for Falcao's services and would have to fork out another £43.5m to make his move to Old Trafford a permanent one.
