59 days to go - FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP
Jill Scott’s goal in the 59th minute of England’s quarter-final against France at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™, was the 600th goal in the competition’s history.
Scott's strike initially looked like it would be enough to send the Three Lionesses through to the semi-finals, but France equalised in the 88th minute on Elise Bussaglia’s shot from the edge of the box. Les Bleues went on to beat England 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out.
