Revolution stay perfect, Timbers outlast New York
New England Revolution continued their upward trend following a bad start to the season after hitting back to claim a 2-1 win at Philadelphia Union on Sunday.
Cristian Maidana's strike just before half-time put Philadelphia in the driving seat, but Charlie Davies' 64th-minute strike levelled matters before substitute Teal Bunbury sealed victory 12 minutes later, having been on the pitch less than a quarter of an hour.
The result extended the Revolution's unbeaten run to five matches - three wins and two draws - after they had opened their campaign with back-to-back defeats.
Elsewhere, Dairon Asprilla's 79th-minute goal lifted Portland Timbers to a 1-0 victory at New York City FC.
