The eagerly anticipated showdown between arch rivals USA and Mexico for a place in the 2017 Confederations Cup has been rescheduled for 10 October, it was confirmed Friday.
The two sides had been due to meet at Pasadena's 93,000-capactiy Rose Bowl on October 9 but the game will now take place a day later.
The winner of the match will secure a place at the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017, the test event for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.
Mexico and USA entered the play-off after winning the two most recent editions of the CONCACAF region's Gold Cup championship.
Mexico qualified for the match after winning the tournament last month. USA were Gold Cup champions in 2013.
