68 days to go - FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP
In 1991, Brazilian referee Claudia Vasconcelos became the first woman to officiate a match in a FIFA competition when she took charge of the match for third place between Sweden and Germany at the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup™ in China PR, which ended 4-0 in the Scandinavians’ favour.
This summer at Canada 2015 there will be 78 female referees officiating at the Women's World Cup.
