Caceres sidelined by Cuadrado

Juventus defender Martin Caceres' run of bad luck has been compounded as a tackle from team-mate Juan Cuadrado has likely ended his hopes of playing against Inter Milan this weekend. Caceres was expected to rejoin Massimiliano Allegri's squad for the pick of the Italian Serie A fixtures late on Sunday, but now the Juventus coach could be made to do without the Uruguayan defender.
Caceres was forced off 18 minutes into a FIFA World Cup™ qualifier between Uruguay and Colombia on Tuesday after being on the wrong end of a tackle from Colombian forward Cuadrado, who is on loan at Juventus from Chelsea. Uruguay had the last laugh, winning 3-0 in Montevideo, but Caceres' return to the Juventus squad may have to wait.
He was expected to undergo scans in Turin on Wednesday, and the 28-year-old will be praying for good news. Injury brought a premature end to his season last March, before Juventus went on to claim a league and Cup double and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League.
Caceres recovered, only to miss the opening games of Juve's campaign with a muscle problem. Inter Milan sit second in Serie A, two points behind leaders Fiorentina, with Juventus ten points behind La Viola following a poor start to the defence of their title.
