The Local Organising Committee (LOC) announced the general ticket sales phase on 2 January 2017 after venue package sales terminated on the last day of 2016.

Tickets prices are set from 7,000 to 50,000 KRW, considering the match phase and seat level. The subdivided reasonable prices are expected to attract many football fans. Especially, tickets for every group stage matches, two round of 16 matches in Incheon and the final and Match for third place matches allows visitors to enjoy two consecutive matches in the venue on the same day.

From 2-14 January, there is an exclusive sales period of FIFA's partner VISA, in which the tickets are only purchasable with a VISA card. An early bird discount is provided to tickets purchased by VISA until the day of the Official Draw (15 March 2017, KST). Disabled people, groups over 11 people and groups under 11 people get 50 per cent, 30 per cent and 15 per cent discounts respectively.

Ticket purchasing channels are online (Korean: kr.FIFA.com/u20ticket, English: FIFA.com/u20icket), offline (host cities headquarters), as same as the venue package ticket purchase channel. Tickets are also available in the ticket office in the stadiums on matchdays.

For the first time for FIFA tournaments, the FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017 adopts mobile ticketing along with printed ticketing. The newly-adopted method is expected to reduce any inconvenience in the ticket receiving process and mark the tournament as an eco-friendly tournament by using less paper. The mobile ticket is served in mobile phone applications, available in the Korean language.

LOC chairman Chung Monggyu said: “As the year of FIFA U-20 World Cup is coming and there are only just over three months away, I feel an increasing interest in the tournament from the public. The LOC is putting a great deal of effort into the tournament in cooperation with FIFA and the host cities. I hope the interest in the tournament leads to successful ticket sales.”
